Nymph

"I'm
trained as an illustrator and painter, but have been doing other types
of
design work for many years. Studio Artist has gotten me back into the
world
of drawing and painting. Although there's lots to learn in the program
and
lots I don't understand, I still find it to be one of the more intuitive
applications out there. When I was an Illustration major in college, I
developed a technique where I would start with a photograph or collage
that I
had altered and then I would apply several layers of tracing paper, each
with
a different type of drawing or painting on it. It was an intersting idea,
but
almost impossible to pull off in the real world since many of the media
I was
using would eventually disintegrate if I tried to glue a piece of trace
on
the top. This program allows me to continue with that idea digitally and
I
find it very freeing.
