"Working from original photographs, colour adjustment and layering are done in photoshop. The image is completely redrawn by hand on the white canvas in studio artist using a stylus and graphics tablet as one would with pen and ink or brush and paint. Actions are not used. I move between photoshop and SA continuously to adjust color and tonality or to "dampen down" the more strident aspects of the drawing. The final images are printed on 100% rag heavy water colour paper with pigment inks and have been sold at galleries in edinburgh, scotland. Studio Artist is a difficult mistress: because i am highly non-technical i find teasing secrets out of her difficult, but when she decides to smile, she glows."
