Apple Master Artist Paul Davis Demostrates
Studio Artist, The Innovative New Graphics Software from Synthetik
Software
New York, NY, July 20, 1999-- Studio Artist, the world's first Graphics
Synthesizer, an intelligent painting, drawing, image and video processing
program will be featured at the MacWorld Town Hall Meeting today.
Well-known Apple Master digital artist, Paul Davis demonstrates the
first public showing of Studio Artist, the innovative smart graphics
software from Synthetik Software, Inc. Mr. Davis will demonstrate the
Intelligent -Assistedª auto-rotoscoping feature contained in Studio
Artist.
Studio Artist's auto-rotoscoping feature is the first of it's kind,
enabling automated hand-painted and/or processed re-rendering of QuickTime
movies in a style of the user's choice. The program uses human visual
modeling to construct an internal representation of the contents of each
movie frame. Studio Artist then intelligently draws or paints each frame
just like a real artist would, generating an animation or video sequence
with a hand drawn look. A built in Paint and Graphics Synthesizer allows
each frame to be rendered in an unlimited range of potential visual styles.
"We'll be seeing Studio Artist's auto-rotoscoping effects all over
the media in 6 months," said Joe Beiny of Outpost Film Center in San
Francisco. "I'm glad I'll be one of the first to show off what this software
can do."
Developed
by Synthetik Software Inc., Studio Artist is an innovative new full
featured program for computer artists and creative professionals.
The program combines dynamic user-configurable painting and drawing tools
along with a complete image processing and video effects suite. A
unique hybrid imaging model allows individual paint strokes to have the
visual richness of raster paint with the editability of vector paths.
Dynamic expressive paint tools or custom art processes can easily be
constructed and applied to still images or motion sequences. Users can
either paint and draw manually or direct Studio Artist's automatic Intelligent-Assisted
painting actions. |
